Pilots Seat Load Testing

In this video we go through the process of load testing the pilot seat. I created this video on the weekend without any staff to assist in the whole process. Although we didn’t quite make our test goal, the video is a good demonstration of the basic process by which we can validate the structural design of individual segments within the structure. We ended up with a net weight of 1342 pounds applied to the pilot seat. The general load distribution calculated after the fact showed that our load distribution was really quite accurate. We are confident that we can up the maximum pilot weight substantially over the 225 pounds that we used as a baseline for this test.
