Great article that backed up my recent, also great, LSRM class at Rainbow. (And I know this was mentioned in class but I need more detail.) I have arrived home to two metric aircraft in my care. Little details like a loose rivnut that is threaded as metric and not SAE had to be replaced with an SAE fastener… Research found that yes they do make metric rivnuts and yes they do call for a different mandrel to install them. My metric aircraft are due to necessity becoming a mixed bag of bolts. How about an article about aircraft grade metric fasteners?
